We just had Jared tested yesterday with a child psychologist to see if he could get into the gifted program for kindergarten and he passed with flying colors. He had to have an IQ over 130, his was 138, and he had to get a 90% on either the reading or math test and he scored over 99% in both! I knew that little man was smart but I was actually taken back with how well he did. I love that they have the ability to do this so that he doesn't end up getting in trouble out of being bored in school. Plus the school we are zone for is okay but now the one we can send him to with the gifted program is the best in the area. So excited for him!
We had a conference call with Gladney this week and they said that the average wait time for a referral over 13 months is 4 months and that if you get yours by the end of May you have a shot at bringing him home by the time everything closes down for rainy season. That would be at 3 1/2 months on the wait list for us so it's possible but not a given by any chance. I am praying and asking everyone I know to pray that we are lucky enough to have this happen because I know God hears our prayers. However, if it doesn't I know that it's because our child wasn't ready and that it will all work out the way it is supposed to in the end. I have never had this much faith before this experience and have to say that it is so wonderful to have during this time. But I can't stop praying the phone rings sooner than later!

Jared's 1st Wrestling Tournament
Jared had is 1st wrestling tournament yesterday and luckily enough there were two other 5 yr olds that he was able to wrestle. He won two out of three matches and got a metal for 2nd place! Most importantly he had so much fun and a wonderful attitude. He was sad the won he lost and was on the verge of tears (which shows his passion and desire to be the best) but we distracted him enough that he never actually shed a tear. And he was so proud of himself that he place second....it was a wonderful day! I attached the video that Jeff put together. He actually pins the boy in the first minute but the refs were really nice and let them wrestle the full 3 two minute rounds so even though you'll see him pin him a few times they just loved being out there so that's why it keeps going.
On the adoption front...it's been a month on the wait list already!! One down and hopefully not too many more to go:) It's gone by fast and I am watching the families get their older children much faster than the infants so I am hopefully we will be the same....
